... had said it would rain further south) and felt a bit optimistic!! Well, our hopes were dashed when a bit before 1pm it started to pour in earnest. We had just passed St. Marcel, the last village before Conques, and when the path diverged from the road, saying 30 minutes to Conques, we took it hoping it would be quicker. I can see immediately that he's not happy with that and tell him that it's no problem. My goal for today I Rodez. After a little bit of walking, I get picked up by people who bring to Rodez. It's still so I think I could go further. The people let me out of their car on a autoroute. Cars drive like ...

On the road again

... After some walking and a few hitches, I make it into Autillac. I buy a hammock, compass, lightweight cutlery and inflatable pillow in the Decathlon. I start walking toward Maurs. Then all of a sudden a truck stops offering me a lift. I'm more than happy to take his offer. We have really hard time communicating and that seems to upset the driver. I get out just before Maurs. I walk to a campsite in Maurs and call it a ...
