... had nothing appearing on the iPad we got another shrug - well it's the thick stone walls! We had been staying in many old hotels with lots of stairs and different landings but never had no Wifi, some reception may have been poor but never none at all. After showering (hairdryer was rubbish) had to have a glass (well 2) of their rose champagne on the terrace which sounds good but actually was on the main road through the village & quite noisy, and of ...

Peter said we should have breakfast as we didn't eat in the hotel restaurant last night, well it was a little better than usual with hard boiled eggs, ham & the usual stuff - ham smelt off to me so I didn't eat any. We get a sleep in tomorrow....not checking out till 9am so the late night won't be so ...

Another lazy day, again too drizzly to do laundry. We wandered into town in the afternoon for an explore along the canal path. Pretty trees and pretty peacock bushes led us to a floral bridge opposite the train station into the town centre. Looking back through the photos, it actually looks quite cute but, honestly, it was awful! Being Sunday, everything was closed and ************e was about but the few ...

Up and off. We discovered we'd miscalculated so had 240 miles to do! The first 210 were rolling hay fields... Seriously, for the entire 210 miles!! There were so many more photos but they're all the same... France clearly feeds the world's livestock!! For the last 30 miles, we were on small roads through little deserted villages. We got closer and closer to the satnav said destination and started to worry we'd programmed the wrong place. We were meant to be, according to ...
