      ... some were going down the glacier (and ending up at the Mer de Glace where we visited yesterday) and others were going down the mountain "off piste". They were launching themselves out a special tunnel and then had to navigate carefully along a ridge to start their journey.

      We walked inside the glacier and it was cold, quiet, still, eerie and quite an awesome experience. Especially when you realise the whole thing is moving down the valley at 1cm an hour and you are inside with all your family! They had carved through the ice to make a tunnel and a cave, which was lit up with various coloured lights and it made the ice look amazing. There ...

      ... the play. They performed High School Musical, which was cute. One of my students (not one of the awful ones) had the male lead. After the theater, we went the gym for the art show. I looked at the art and then left for a little while to talk to Ed on the phone. After that, I went back just in time for the flags to start. Again, they played the national anthems for all the countries, everyone sang their anthem, and they displayed the flags from each country. ...

      On Wednesday, my classes went okay. After teaching, I got all the rest of my comments done, packed up some things in my classroom and spent some time online. I also got all of my awards done. I had seen Ken and Cheryl in the cafeteria when I stopped by after the staff meeting. They were going to wander around town for the morning, then meet me back at Savoy at lunch.
