    ... route down a disused railway line over a footbridge spanning the Ardeche river, through some lovely lanes filled with sunflowers and grape vines, then down a path along side of the river for a few km before popping us out in Roums.     ... over the edge,!! We paddled under the Arc and onto the beach with a great sigh of relief and very wet pants. As we had got so wet on the various rapids, we decided to take a dip in the river fully clothed. We sat and had lunch whilst watching people float past. from there it was a lovely 20 min paddle down the river to the pick up point and back home for tea and medals, well we think we deserve one. P.S I have never been so scared in all my life, but Andy loved it. ...

    ... was time for a comfort break and some lunch.     ... was beautiful and had a serene church at the top where we all went in and Phillipe sang to us! Afterwards we headed down the hill to the beach on the lake where we had icecream and a drink before wandering along the shore.     ... were able to let out some of the pent up energy from sitting in a car all day. We gave them our gifts and then settled in for a lovely night.
