... byes we headed to the Abbey of Valmagne. This is a 12th Century Benedictine Abbey, set in the midst of the vineyards of Languedoc. Everyone was so full from wine and lunch, we just wandered around, admiring the beauty of something built so long ago. We arrived back at Sete about 5:30 and are now having Happy Hour in the hotel lobby. I don't think anyone is going out to dinner tonight. Wish I could post more pictures with this entry but the internet is so slow, it keeps timing out. ...
Next to the parking lot was a single playground apparatus - A Round-a-Bout where you sit and spin yourself by using the center cylinder (description could be better - I have a great video if you must see it). I spun Caleb for a few hundred turns until it was time for us both to feel what Level 10 was ... I jumped on and spun us both. I literally fell over when I got off and thought I may see my lunch... Usson has literally no commerce to speak ...
... via the SuperU (supermarket) as we needed water and a few bits, then found our way back to the railway line, we were nearly 2 puddles at this point as the sun was so strong. Back to the site for a welcoming dip in the pool, BBQ and and early night tonight, off to Narbonne in the south of France. Oh and I'm sick of the sound of Cicada in the trees!!! they go on and on and on allllll day. See ya all later ...
... shouting instructions, telling me which way to paddle and we safely made it through and stopped on a nearby bank for a breather and to congratulate ourselves. Little did we know what was to come!!!!! having safely and successfully paddled our way through many more rapids, we saw the Pont d'Arc and thought YAY we've made it. at this point we also saw a large crowd of people on the side of the river and then we realised why they were there. We could hear the roar ...
The boys slept in till 9am and so did we after our long drive and late night. We slowly got moving but missed the breakfast cut off at the hotel so headed into the little village of Saint Galmier to have a coffee and snack. It was already late morning so by the time we got there we had a croque monsier and coffee (juice for the boys). Afterwards we bought a lovely orchid from the florist for Sandrine and had a wander around ...
