... shouting instructions, telling me which way to paddle and we safely made it through and stopped on a nearby bank for a breather and to congratulate ourselves. Little did we know what was to come!!!!! having safely and successfully paddled our way through many more rapids, we saw the Pont d'Arc and thought YAY we've made it. at this point we also saw a large crowd of people on the side of the river and then we realised why they were there. We could hear the roar ...

The boys slept in till 9am and so did we after our long drive and late night. We slowly got moving but missed the breakfast cut off at the hotel so headed into the little village of Saint Galmier to have a coffee and snack. It was already late morning so by the time we got there we had a croque monsier and coffee (juice for the boys). Afterwards we bought a lovely orchid from the florist for Sandrine and had a wander around ...
