... or not the place we had parked our bikes wouldn't result in them being ticketed or worse still, clamped or towed, we found somewhere to park the bikes for the night which wasn't too expensive and not too far away from the hotel.
During the evening we found an Indian Restaurant and had a nice inexpensive meal. We also visited a Russian style bar and sampled a few of their beers.

This morning we had to catch the 7:45am bus to Strasbourg, so we had to wake up earlier than before. ... we find an intact castle so we headed for the hills. Our navigation skills weren’t that good so we managed to do a mountain hike in search of the castle, only to find it was down the hill on the edge of the nearby suburb. We couldn’t go into the castle itself but we explored the grounds which were surrounded by acres of vineyards.
