... a torch. The thought of spending a night in the Norwegian mountains in October didn't suit us much. We made it back before the light completely went, but after the last bus on Sunday had gone. Thanks to our networking skills we sweet talked our way into getting a lift back to Voss with one of the hotel staff. We were very grateful that there was a bar at the hotel whilst we waited.

... and still there were parachuters jumping for us to watch. It was a pretty amazing place to skydive - there were stunning rock walls and waterfalls galore. We followed an old stock path up the valley and found some wonderful wild strawberries and raspberries on the way. They were tiny but had a really strong and sweet flavour and there really were a lot of them. ... Had our breakfast on the rooftop terrace at the YMCA – a nice view over the rooftops out towards the fish market and harbour. Grey mist and chilly. Some naughty seagulls, crows and pigeons tried to steal some girl’s food which she just left on the table while she popped downstairs. Aportamos no Fiskepirterminalen as 20:40.
Logo a 600 metros do porto estava o hotel. A cidade de Stavanger, com 120 mil habitantes, é a capital norueguesa do petróleo. Diferente do que se pode imaginar, a combinação: porto + óleo não prejudica em nada o visual.

Our Bergen “old and new” tour ended at the pier where we boarded the MS Nordlys. We had dinner on the ship, and departed Bergen at 10:30PM. By this time, most of us were already back in our staterooms quoting the zzz's.
