      ... you get a great view of the lantern (which is the bit on the top of the dome that looks like a giant lantern!) as well as the gold orb and cross (which sits on top of the lantern). We also visited the Palazzo Medici Riccardi, which is another Medici Palace with huge stones set in walls, a large porticoed courtyard and loggia, great furniture, as well as frescoes covering a chapel, and a fair bit of glitter and mirrors in the Galleria. ...

      ... all the way back to Florence; which is wonderful because of its quaint size and cheerful peops. We strolled back home to Nancy's ideal apartment location tucked just over the bridge to finally relax.

      JJ opened a bottle of Prosecco and the cork literally shot 10 feet as well as the bubbily... all over the wall clear in the other room!! Played cards, snacked, showered, then to bed!

      Fantastic day full of exercise, adventure, & eye candy!!
