... up front at these stops). We got in just after sundown and went straight to a Casino at the tri-state border (Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma). They had "motorcycle parking only" very close to the entrance (this made Jim very happy). Had a great dinner buffet and found a hotel. Checked in after 10 pm. A long ~750 mile day but a good day overall.

... architectural styles popular in the late 1800's.  Many of the homes and buildings were constructed with Carthage limestone, a white, very *********e found in this area.  The town has published an historic homes tour which was very helpful. Carthage is also an important Civil War site.  The Battle of Carthage (July 5, 1861) was the first actual battle of the war.  I toured the Civil War Museum which is dedicated to this ...

... I saw on the way to the blue hole was a lake park ... Maybe some of the run-off from the hole supplies it, I don't know... But, what I thought was pretty neat was that the city, or town, whatever it is turned the area into a recreation area... complete with water "playground"... I tried to get a photo of it. I thought it was something that should be done in our area water ways... ...
