... in an old pub along the coast then the boat. This really is the best way to see the coast. Lots of great coastal landforms like arches and stacks as this coast gets pounded by storms. There had been a big storm in February that had taken a whole beach away for a few hundred metres. Nothing but cliffs there now. Also saw two massive caravan parks right on the cliff. ... but not terribly impressed, still a lot of work to be done before it is complete and more businesses open. Went up to the cathedral, the religious and historic heart of Exeter. It is a most impressive example of a gothic cathedral, built in the 13th and 14th centuries with the soaring high ceiling, arches and interior decorated stone work. ... absolutely **** but I admit I enjoy it. Rainy and stormy. Kinda how I've excepted the weather to be. It's gonna be better tomorrow and for the rest of this and next week.
