There is still very little crime here and you can walk anywhere at night without having to worry about being pick pocketed or mugged. On the Sunday morning we stayed around the beach and campsite.
We had a good swim there, then headed off northwards along the coast road passing the environs of Baunei which we were now familiar with.
We had a grand picnic on the scenic mountain road at the midpoint of two tunnels.
Then, on our way we went, returning to Cala Gonone to repeat our sleep in the car there, in exactly the same location.

Inside the nuraghi was a deep well, and narrow curving walkways connecting the rooms.
We went high up on the nuraghi to see the views, one sight being a beautiful hill nearby on which were the ruins of a Spanish castle.
We had pizzetta at a round bar, while overlooking this hill, then carried on with our travels.
