Only hiccup so far was hot Sergio refusing to start when we stopped in Lucca to find the hotel. 10 minutes cooling whilst we grabbed a coke and off he went delivering us safely to our first destination and a well earned beer.

... of an old Catholic monastery. Viewings are limited to 25 people per 15 minute block and must be pre-booked on line or by phone. We booked a few days in advance and there were only three spots left on the day we wanted. The actual visit was something between a well choreographed production and a visit to a gaol. We passed through various air locks and each subsequent door did not open until all 25 of us had passed through the previous door and it had shut. ...
