... a SIM card we had a look around the town and a ride along the foreshore area. Quite a nice beach and in some places there were restaurants right on the sand. There weren't a lot of people about and it felt very relaxed there.

After lunch from a boulangerie (bakery) we took the coast road to Saint Tropez. It was another lovely drive along ...

Typical day: Sleep in till at least 8am and potentially a 10am if very lucky. The kids will struggle to get themselves some breakfast as iPads need attending to in the morning. Breakfast had so it is time for a swim which tends to be a good hour. Before swimming thou it is time to shut the shutters around the house as we need to keep the 37 plus degree heat out (lucky to reach 3 + 7 in NZ we hear). We ...

... aperitif shot :-/ a second proper pint was required to wash them down. Betty soon found the free Wifi and enjoyed a quick catch up with William. We returned to our vans via the local Spar shop and sat out for a BBQ. Neil became number 1 dad again when he provided the kids with satellite internet, this is only running due to the dodge electrics plugged into our neighbours sockets. Benji has invested in a wooden skimming board for the beach so we ...

... from the mountains. It felt pretty good or maybe that might have been because my legs were so numb I couldn't feel a thing!

In total today we road about 110km, which was nearly 5 hours of riding and covered an ascent of around 2,200m. A cold beer was definitely deserved! We had such a great day we even missed the starting stage of the 100th tour de france!

          Au Revoir!
