What a joy to feel and smell endless lavender and sunflowers side by side - miles and miles of them!

... longer than expected: 4+ hours to cover 200km, I enjoyed the mountain drive without traffic and green scenary, to arrive at elevated village with a beautiful green lake and a medieval castle to stay by 7pm!

The owner of the chateau was there to warmly welcome us, and we enjoyed our stay like guests more than visitors!

... a group of couchsurfers were going to hike up Saturday night and spend the night and hike back down on Sunday (see mom! Couchsurfing isn't a bad thing! If I hadn't attended the couchsurfing meetings I would not of done some of the things I've done, or made the friends I've made! Plus a lot of the people who go to the meetings are local French people so I have a proper chance to practice my French cause they're very good about being patient with me ...
