... the first instance of headwinds i have checked the wind on the weather report so i have be prepared for it, but nothing really prepares you properly. You sit in your nice warm and cosy hotel and you think you can deal with it. it will be ok, well its not...that is far from the truth. ... of going down the med towards to Monaco i will do a u turn and go back to Toulouse. its fine, i had already decided i would go to Monaco another time....i think i need my Tux with me to really get a taste for Monaco, rather than my rather smelly karki pants...hehehehe.
so i am now planning next weeks ride and then i think i will be heading home. i think i might even book a fancy pants hotel in Toulouse for the last few days to treat myself.

Sur le pont davigon!!!
... ici!!! je vais deposer mes trucs chez lui; son frere vient nous rejoindre et on sen va au pont du Gare, ca ete construit au milieu du premier siecle, vous imaginez?!?! cest malade, cetait un aqueduc! et pas loin, il y avait des olivier datant de lan 908. ouff cest pas jeune jeune! oh et appareme,nt que cest pas bon des olives directement comme ca a voir la face des deux freres qui recrachent! ...
Mont Ventoux
We awoke to a beautiful, sunny day which would have been perfect for riding. Today, however, was going to be a driving day towards the base of our final Col: Mt. Ventoux. Daan came over as planned and everyone had a piping hot café au lait to kick off the morning while Megs had tea. We wished Daan the best of luck for the remainder of his journey and then we packed up camp and began our drive south-west. It was an uneventful drive and not particularly scenic either ...
One of the most beautiful places
One of the most stunning places I have ever been. Met a bloke called max from melbourne who was riding his bike around europe which was amazing. also met a couple decent peeople but cant remember their names, but i think a cool whoofing dutch dude and some french and poles
