        ... empty that morning what they've done, we got the answer "Oh, I just went for a walk." Therefore, any similar behaviour and activity was from that point onwards known as "going for a walk". Because, seriously? No better excuse than that?! :D
        Instead of hiking we drove to the ski village of Mont Tremblant (but didn't see a mountain because of all the fog). We walked around there for a bit and had a short hike to some waterfalls in that area.

        ... hungry black flies. The mosquitoes are bold and aggressive, no messing around, they go straight for the bite, landing on hands, in ears, nose, hair. I had forgotten to bring the insect repellent and we left without putting any on, we hadn't needed it elsewhere in Canada so far and had been lulled into a false sense of security.         After the excitement of the race had calmed down we headed out for a late lunch at Spag and Co, an Italian restaurant right on the finish line. It is now time to celebrate Fathers Day. We had a great lunch but also watched some amazing athletes cross the line. By this stage most of them were in the 60 to 64, 65 to 69, 70 to 74, 75 to 79 and 80 to 84 age groups.         ... as I am looking at the entrance and he has already gone through ( he tells me later) . I head back to the room for a bit and then back to the race action. The pros are coming in to transition so I head for the VIP stand and end up sitting behind the commentator ...
