... so, unless it's a complete prohibition to park, there's no way of knowing what the rules are, so only a Francophone could park there.

Even KFC is PFK (Poulet Frit Kentucky), for example - and few or no restaurants have any English on them. Even in Japan you could go into most restaurants other than traditional Japanese ones and there was an 'English Menu' ... but not in Quebec. Or, to be more accurate, not in Quebec City. Montreal was different.

... for a barbers, which hardly exist in Quebec City! When we eventually got directions to a barbers we turned up and instantly knew it was a bad idea. This barbers was at the back of a launderettes, it had one chair in the shop, was covered in hair and the 90 year old barber was sitting outside the shop on a box, smoking a fag! I got the serious case of giggles. Sam had his hair cut within about two mins and it was AWFUL! We walked out the barbers and ...

... built on the top of a very high cliff as is Quebec City, so stairs awaited us to reach town. The kids ran their stairs; Abe and I had run in the morning, followed by 398 stairs to reach the top of the cliff in Quebec City through the Plains of Abraham, so we were shagging on these stairs. T~The day started off with Hannah being up at 500am because she wanted to play with the boys next door. They were up at 4 (glad those aren't my kids) After a quick nap we were up and atom around 9. Did some errands in the morning as it looked like it was going to rain and we didn't want to get caught when we did the tourist thing. Did you know how hard it is to get a haircut here.
