... east side with expansive grassy areas in between. We hiked clear across to the citadel overlooking the St Lawrence river then along the traverse back to Hotel Frontenac, the luxurious and famous hotel at the heart of Old Quebec City. We toured the Ursuline Convent Museum, a large complex covering an entire block in the old city. The Ursuline nuns came to the new world early in its settlement with a mission to bring education to ...

... Nova Scotia. I jumped at the opportunity to go ashore and stretch my legs. Hugging the coastline I worked up a sweat walking along the village neighborhoods enjoying the sounds of a season very late in arrival. Flowers were blooming in every direction and the local children were all outside soaking up the sun and warmth. He was very upset -- "Dad, you should have given me more time to calm down." Maybe I should have -- it was one of those parenting ...

... a little snap happy here!

The town hall had an amazing
Halloween display. Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere! We then mostly just wandered
through the streets (so much like France) and ran into an American
couple from one of the other ships. Very funny, she took a photo for us and
then sympathised with John about the frailty (age) of most cruise passengers.
