While interesting enough, and I might spend another night there on the way back, Quebec was not all that great ... more hype than substance, really.

Went for a run along the river, and then after a shower and breakfast I headed out with Marie and Claire to a supermarket about 30 mins away. I do love my foreign supermarkets! Unfortunately I bought a lot of stuff yesterday at the local grocery store which was expensive, but bought a couple of things to tide me over for the week (hopefully). Came back and shared a ...

... a large island in the middle of the St Lawrence River) has neat farms, beautiful old white houses with red roofs, cheese makers, etc and a wonderful view of the city; Montmorency Falls (double the height of Niagara Falls) was powerful; ... then we went to the of highlight of the day: Basilique Ste-Anne-de-Beaupre. It was like being in a Christmas Card. The spires are over 300 feet tall, 22 chapels, 18 alters, and 214 stained windows. The interior is ...
