... lunch). Chiesa di Santa Lucia al Sepolcro has the first Caravaggio painting I've seen outside of a museum, and it's beautiful. Unfortunately, no photos allowed. We visit the Duomo which is built on top of the ancient Temple of Minerva. Finally we see Apollo's Temple, built in 600 BC, which seems oddly out of place in the city center.
I'll miss my Italian family! Hope to see you again soon.

... don't even know how to label this week. Trying to help out around here was harder than pulling teeth. My Italian did significantly improve though, despite Nuccio's excellent English.Here are a few of the tricky words I kept mixing up:

Part 1 - Rome to Sicily

I had my 1st ride in a police car, lol mom will be proud ! nothing bad my BMW broke down and I had to give them my gps and they took me back to the hotel . I thought it was because I passed them at 170' but they were kind to help me. What is the chance a Renault would have caught me. ...

At B&B Vinci, a really nice place to stay. Large room, on the bottom floor, with a terrace on the top where we had breakfast. Not as good a view as some of the others, yet comfortable and clean. Best part...no wicked stairs to climb this time. We stayed almost in the heart of this beautifully baroque town, walked and relaxed. visited the town square where we had a cappucino and tried our wireless, which didn't work in the room this morning. ...
