... 45 minutes train ride south of Madrid, not wanting to brave the capital's traffic, this seems a good choice to base selves for 2 days of Madrid's massive collection of ART.... The Prado overwhelmingly huge but worth every cent just to see Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights, a painting I've been in awe of for nearly fifty years.. extraordinary!!!! and a special exhibition of El Greco who inspired everyone from Picasso to Pollock. We went to bed at 8 pm...jet lag.

Day 63 (Figeac)

... schnitzel and breaded eggplant which was delicious. After a bit we all went to the concert a bit tipsy. The music was great (a replacement singer had been found as the original's daughter had been assaulted that morning), a good mix of classic blues and country, plenty of Johnny cash. After the concert we had a few more drinks and, as far as I remember, went to bed fairly early. I love you, ...
