We think there's a song title there. We have the camping car section to ourselves today and although we enjoy company, it is rather nice. We were going to sort out loads on the net today, but still no connection, so sorted out bedding and the usual "stuff" you might do at home. We took Tess for a walk and had decided that we CANNOT leave without more chestnuts, I have been boiling the ones ...

... a very big black cloud coming, we quickly got everything safely in and the wind picked up and WOW what a 15 minutes we had, it was biblical. We don't seem to be having much luck with our internet connections at sites. Bought a 24hr code to use when we returned to catch up with things, but no sooner had we got back than the electric went off and we had a thunderstorm, which it appears, has cut the phone lines and Internet!!!!!!! It really was a lovely place and so quiet, you felt as though ...

We wouldn't say it was cold this morning, it was DAMED COLD, you could see your breath in the main part of Pierre!!! Heating on for a few minutes only, as we are quite low on gas and need to get it sorted on Monday. Had porridge and it filled us up and off we went at 8.30am we were the second van to leave (26 left to go) and no rain today, should be dry. The roads were very quiet, being a Sunday morning and it was a ...

Well I guess it is all a matter of comparison but after the last tough 2 days, today's 18 kms was easy, short and really pleasant. Because we knew it wouldn't be long, we enjoyed our lovely hotel in the morning - had breakfast later and didn't leave till 9.30. It had rained in the night, but high cloud as we left and we were optimistic weather-wise, but have ponchos etc always ready. We are now in another world from that of the cow pastures ...
