Speaking back to last Saturday….. I have wandered around Brussels for a while before heading back to the Visitors Information center at the Hotel de Ville to join my tour group. There I met Fernando, my guide from Brussels Walking Tours (BrusselsWalkingTours.com).  I HIGHLY recommend his tour if you are in the area.  He sometimes does the beer tour and he does a bike tour in the mornings and although I did not go on these tours, I am guessing based on this ...

... is a waterfall down either side of the entrance and when you get in, a huge fish tank. Once you are inside, it looks like night club!!! No one was in there, so I snuck a picture of the place. Pretty cool, huh?!? After that, I headed back to the Visitors Information Center to meet my guide for an afternoon walking tour. More on that tomorrow (or over the weekend). First of all, I want to give a huge shout out to Jack and Marsha. Got the e-mail. Glad to hear the results came back so well. Hopefully you will still get to go to Italy this summer. Got my fingers crossed for you!!!

... shade. After months in Asia and years in Canada, I am finding this scene fascinating.

It’s an artsy crowd and everyone is very touchy feely with each other. There seems to be a very close vibe. I realize how I miss that in North American culture.
