Day 34 Big drive yesterday - really tired, but we must do something different for our last full day in France, so we decide to head direction Pyrenees, tthrough vineyard after vineyard, to the little town (it has a McDo we discovered - and no, we didn't go in ) of Limoux, of the origins of champagne claim to fame. His purchase today was from the chocolate shop - we were offered a ...

It is a glorious, sunny day - such a long time since we've seen its smiling face - hope it sticks around. I checked that there was a poste in la cite before we came, and even wrote down the address. It must have been a figment of my imagination because la poste does not exist in la cite. So, into the car and drive to the basse ville to the parking souterraine in ...

Spontaneous Decision

A travel blog entry by susiewoo

Most spontaneously I found myself booking a flight to the Canary Islands, the idea being to join my friend Laughing Anna on her winter trip to the hippy island of La Gomera.
The appeal was the vision of staying for the xmas holiday in a cave on a remote ...
