... rainfall we had last night. We had an amazing thunder storm last night; massive claps of thunder, right overhead and so loud, quickly followed by very frequent lightening. Huge, heavy, thumping rainfall thudded on the van. It all lasted about 3 hours. We couldn't sleep through it, so spent those hours reading. It was late in the day, we hadn't eaten, we were tired and we were grumpy. We couldn't find any campsites worth a dam and the book on European campsites that we have is absolutely rubbish, (to put it politely)!
