... that there are opportunities to mingle with the athletes themselves. On our bus back to the village at the end of the day was the bronze medallist, Steve Nyman from the USA. Just sitting on the seat next to us as we travelled down. He was more than happy to have his photo taken and he was on a real high after his success today.

A thrilling start to our World Cup in Beaver Creek - Super G tomorrow, can't wait!

Stephen's new skis passed the test with flying colours (I knew they would suit him) Very responsive and fast! He loved the many varied runs. They are so long!!!!! compared to Australia. They just go on and on and on.

... found out were made of gypsum. In actual fact they mine gypsum in this area. Whenever I use gypsum on the garden again I am sure I will think of this drive. We came across a flock of wild turkeys near the rest stop. Amazing they survived Thanksgiving!

... rugby tournament that attracts nearly 50 teams from all over the continental United States, Hawaii, the southern Hemisphere and Europe. Rugby turns up in the most unusual of places!!
