    Special shout out to Brian and his friends Kevin and Sam for driving us and then rescuing us in Sonoita.

    On another note: I realized it's really hard to eat when my body is this exhausted.
    Under 20 miles= eat everything in sight.
    Over 20 miles= want to puke.

    This refuge was out of the way a bit but the reviews said it was good so we decided to go have a look. Right on the Mexican border so border protection was everywhere, we even saw them capture a few illegals on the side of the road. Beautiful rugged wilderness, we saw a few new birds around the visitor centre and our first Bobcat and Pronghorn ...

    OFF ALERT! booked travel for friend, bought insurance, canceled travel,
    was given credit with Delta and then sent an email saying that a $200
    penalty would be applied when credit was redeemed. The insurance will
    supposedly reimburse the $200 penalty after it is paid. What kind of a
    SCAM is ...

    You go through a one way turnstile gate. You walk up to a table and push a button. There is a street light there and if it is red, they wanna check out your bags. If it is green (like it was for us), you just head south about ten feet and you're in Mexico. It's that simple. The gate opens into the tourist area of the city.
