As we walked on, two beautiful blue cranes ate right next to the walking path. Only the wire fence separated us. They didn’t seem disturbed that we stood there.
I can see why the zoo is so highly rated. Most of the habitats were natural and the walking paths were wooded and shaded. I’m glad we went there.

Yesterday we arrived at Turning Stone RV Resort in Vernon, NY. The RV Resort is ¼ mile down the road from the huge Turning Stone Casino. Because of the huge, wooded lots, this is among our top 5 favorite RV locations, the other four being:

From Waterford to Utica, we rode along the Erie Canal trail. A very nice path, which was quite flat for a change, that took us through forests and wooded areas.
