Ron talked to the guy with the big bus as they were out packing up and the fellow told Ron that he had travelled into Canada and had been all the way to Gasp....(Gaspe) and was amazed that everyone spoke french there...(Americans rarely get the french names right! They like to Americanize them..some of our favourites are a place in the States, Calais, which they pronounce callous and Dubois which they pronounce Duboys) ...

We stayed at Whitebreast campsite which is on the southern tip of the lake. We reserved spot#76 which was the end of the road in this campground. Completely shaded and away from most others. Sunny and 72 was our Friday. Perfect weather. Starving once we arrived so we whipped up a couple of sandwiches and chips n dip. Cracked Peace Tree's growler of Soundcheck ...

... fat check and rolled on down the road.

First stop was DMV to get a temporary transit registration that would allow me 30 days to get the RV to California where it would be permanently registered. Roxy is gonna be west coast girl. At DMV, I met Meredith who gladly took my $2.00 and in return she gave me a transit permit. I was now legal for 30 days! Did I mention the DMV in Knoxville, Iowa consists of 2 clerks and there was nobody there? ...
