    The capitol city

... DC is Georgetown. While this part is actually the older neighbourhood of dc, it doesnt feel like it. Rows of shops n branded boutiques big n small, hip cafe n restos on M street and Wisconsin avenue, waterfront new or refurbished even outdoor skating rink. Well, except for the C&O canal, small but antique rows of tiny houses.

Last dinner at Royal Thai cuisine n bar, great food n service with choices of cocktails from the bar...

Being less than 2 hours from Annapolis it is a wonder I've never been there before. It is such a beautiful and peaceful city. It greatly differs from the bustling city of Inner Harbor Baltimore. Everything in the city seems to revolve around the Navy which is understandable considering the United States Naval Academy is right there. Being so close to the Academy we just had to visit it. ... shows us to the Waiting area, well hidden before boarding the 16.05 train. What an experience! The roomette is tiny with room for only one person to stand up when the beds are put down but adequate when arranged as two seats. There is a good viewing lounge which is better for photos as you can see out of either side. The train follows the Potomac river for most of the evening nod we ...

... attention during the mornings now, but unfortunately...Yesterday, I even stepped out of the elevator on the wrong floor! I seriously need to start thinking about catching up on some sleep I guess… However, no doubt about this, coming to DC has been a wake-up call that a real world of suits, deadlines and business meetings does exist and in a little over a year, it may be even become reality for me...
