... 11th grade when he dropped out to become a fisherman. Bruce did not, as he says, have ‘papers’ to show an education. But, he was witty, knowledgeable, and passionate about his home and the history of his trade. For us, he made Newfoundland real. Buddy said it was the best part of our trip so far.

... Boys then back on the road. Most of the drive was also quite quiet. We decided to use the extra time to visit Terra Nova park today so we could spend more time searching for Puffins tomorrow. We reached the park around 1pm and stopped by the visitor centre which was swarming with girl guides.
