      ... hike, we headed up to the volcano, and stopped at Rio Celeste River which wraps around the volcano. There is a huge waterfall, and the water is an exotic blue. After our beautiful trip, we went to a restaurant and I order casado which consist of meat, beans, and rice.

      We had a "wet landing" today as we were taken ashore by the zodiac which let us out at the edge of the shore line of Coco Beach which is in a gorgeous horseshoe shaped bay with steep hills and impressive cliffs. The mile long stretch of gray sand is lined by leaning palm trees, oceanfront restaurants and small souvenir stands. Many fishing boats tell the way of life here, with the addition now of tourism.       ... went upside down! Our tour guides were way cool considering they took our phones to take videos and pictures of us during the zip lining. I thought that was cool! After we were done we walked around a little bit to see the other tours/adventures they had to offer. There was a "Tarzan" swing one could do where they basically raise you up to a tree and you fall from it with a string. I just couldn't do it... too scary for me! This completed our ziplining adventure and we were back ...

      We met a young man named Minor the first day in Tamarindo as he and his daughter were walking the beach together. He asked about surfing lessons and it was kismet! Cher and I went back just for him the next day for me to check off surf lesson from my list of things to do in Costa.

      ... On the beach or in the streets I could almost always be seen proudly carrying the success from my most recent harvest. They were plentiful on the island, but finding some that were accessible and getting them down was a task and a half.
