This morning Graham and Christine (old family friends of the Eads) joined us for breakfast. It was a full house with Nicky, Ben and Abigail also staying. Manic morning with Nicky's birthday. Ben had to leave for school at 8:15am and we were rushing to eat breakfast so that Nicky could open her presents. Ben and Abigail gave her pyjamas and a dress pillow for her bed, and Geoff & Jen re-decorated her bedroom as their present to her. We gave her a new gold watch with diamonds around the face. Steve and I went for a run this morning (7.30km). It's funny having three layers on, with long tights, gloves and a hat. Very pleasant out running in the fresh winter air. ... didn’t want the shoes anymore. She said she was going to try a different model. As for Lucky, she said she loved them, then she didn’t and finally she did as she got the shoes and the lady bought a different pair of shoes.

Next stop was Bath Abbey. We spent an hour inside the Abbey and we were satisfied with our visit to Bath and made our way to the train station. When we got the tickets I was really surprised at the price of tickets. Single way was 6.60 ...
