... at Egg Harbor. Rob and I joined in the fun and had a great time. We spent a fun evening at Jason and Kristen's Albertson's house. We all contributed something for dinner and the kids had a great time on their zip line. A large group of us went to Jacksonport County Park for a cookout and a day of kayaking, catamaranning, and swimming. Great fun however the water is still a cold 55 degrees in Lake Michigan. The guide I rode with today is Fritz. He's pretty great and so is his boat - he's lived in the area for a long while, knows this water very well, and his cell phone ring "What is Love" by Haddaway, so that is awesome.
We also saw a bald eagle - 'Merica.

... s Quarters bookends the old Fort Winnebago. Again a great history stop, highly recommended. The canal connecting the two drainages runs right along side it. It opened with such great hopes in 1876, but superseded by both the Illinois/Michigan canal and railroads it never reached its full potential. Today it lies closed and stagnant.

... here. There are numerous orchards. We stopped at one today and sampled cherry everything. From cherry fudge to cherry salsa. Oh, we did leave with fresh cherry donuts in hand.
