      ... there were many tourists arriving at Museumplein and it was more crowded than I had ever seen it. I noticed how many people were in the lobby of the Rijks and assumed Van Gogh would also be full of people today but it didn't matter...I was loving every second of this day and wanted to take it all in as I knew I would be leaving in just a few days.

They had the most sophisticated toilets I've ever seen, with toilet seats that rotate around and under a small cleaner that extends out of the cistern once you're done to polish the seat ready for the next person. It cost €0.70 BUT you take your receipt up to the counter when you make a purchase and it takes €0.50 off the cost for you. Double awesome!
