What a place, you notice instantly when you walk out the train station the change in pace here compared to Paris. It's a fairly easy place to navigate and finding the hotel wasn't a problem. Our hotel was in the middle of the RED LIGHT area but this wasn't a issue. Easy to walk the streets even tho it was a Friday. However the place was very different on ...

I felt very emotional when we found him in his room. Thankfully he responded with a huge smile. He immediately spoke English and did so throughout our whole time with him. Our trip starts at 2:45pm so we just got some crepes for breakfast and shopped at the 5 H&M locations for clothes for this heat wave. We stayed in the shops because they all had A/C. We ended up at this really cool beer bar that serves only beer from here. We are sitting under the ceiling fan until we have to meet up with our tour. Our tour consisted of three parts: 1. ...

We left Brussels at 7.30 am and headed out onto the motorway (cars travelling at 130 km /hour). After about two and a half hours we were in Holland. The drive into Amsterdam was lovely through very interesting and picturesque countryside. The tour guide gave a detailed explanation about the geography and the fact that the land is below sea level and how the Dutch have built dykes and water channels in order to give themselves more land. ...
