    We got out of our Quality Inn in Maine just before 8:30 and headed to the Mt. Washington Auto Rd. in NH. It took a little over 4 1/2 hours to get there. We stopped at the gift shop and my mom opted not to ride up with us to the summit.Our fee included a CD for us to listen to on the assent and descent.     Glen was our Captain and Bill was his right hand man. Both have been touched by cancer, both are accomplished sailors (& skiers) and they generously volunteer their time for Healing Winds.

    ... now run by a foundation. The
    sun had come out and it was nice to walk around. Favorite sites were the Circus building and
    the ferry boat, Ticonderoga. It had been
    a ferry on Lake Champlain and when it was being retired from service, Electra
    bought it and had it moved to the museum grounds. The boat is furnished to represent the 1920s
    which was the peak usage for the boat.
