    ... these amazing clocks which could be in the Smithsonian . They never travelled farther than 30 miles from town their entire lives.     ... Iowa. Literally every truck on the planet was here. It's vast inside also. Sleep on the bus was impossible as they keep opening the side of the bus and hoisting wheelchair passenger and luggage in and out. Oh, and every nutbar not presently incarcerated in the world was on the bus. We changed buses at Des Moines Iowa at 5am for the last couple of hours leg to Mason City. Arrived 8ish. Raining. ...

    ... a local restaurant for a sandwich. Cliff thought he was getting the ramen I packed in my suitcase! Sat with a very nice couple from Texas and shared plans of our adventure.

    This is a 26 foot brand new motorhome. It is very nice. We put some of our clothes away, and tried to figure out all the buttons.

    Ready to call it a day.

    ... an hour with us explaining steam locomotive operations as well as showing us his project train he is building. After that, he took us out to show us his pump hand truck and his 1952 Plymouth diesel locomotive. Both were working and after he spent some time showing the kids how to operate them, he let them take them both for a ride!!!!!
    Literally, he let Justin and Sydney fully operate the throttle and brake all the way ...

    ... a really good time and good people to boot!

    Attended services Sunday at the local Methodist Church and afterward at the coffee and cookie clutch met a young couple who happened to work at Winnebago for some 20+ years. Small world! During our discussion, we found that Winnebago is struggling filling positions with their production workforce at a starting wage of $12.30 per hour. Wow!
