    ... the area south of Stowe and found the Von Trapp family lodge from where they moved to the USA from Austria. The hills were alive with the sound of our hire car struggling up the steep, bendy road that led to the lodge, which is now being used as a ski resort lodge.     ... I had looked at that cost $100 to $1,400!

    The game was great - everything that baseball ought to be. The hometown fans were enjoying themselves, the announcers were funny (and corny), and there was a distinct local flavor to everything that occurred. We had a lot of fun watching "Champ" the team mascot who is based on the local myth of a sea monster in the lake.

    Mallett's Bay is located on the 40 mile Island Line Trail. We biked about 12 miles of this beautiful, well maintained trail that includes waterfront and parks which connects Burlington to South Hero Island. A large portion of this trail is a former Rutland Railroad railbed (stopped running in the 1960s) which includes a very long causeway across Malletts Bay.
