After 191 days, 36 states, and over 7,300 miles, it's time. That's right. It pains me very much to do this, but 6 months on the road has taken a very heavy toll.

So, I must now officially announce that my 27 1/4" Continental Gatorskin front tire and my 20 year old, size 9 Shimano biking shoes have finally seen their final miles. The trusty tire was one especially made for touring with super tough Kevlar ...

Jeff had organised a pontoon boat for the day so we picked it up around 9:30 and motored to the bait shop, the Kangaroo .. lol. We picked up a bucket of minnows and then went to one of his favourites spots on the lake to try for some crappies and some catfish.

Well, it feels like about 33 degrees today but with the humidity it is 43! Luckily we found this great RV park and it has a pool and a great gazebo for us and the people are so friendly!

We decided to stay 2 nights and relax and enjoy the pool and the CLEAN, SPOTLESS showers and bathrooms. There is even a dog park!

We are heading for Charleston South Carolina. We will likely take 2 days to get there as it is really hot here and being ...

... Dad and I ate our first restaurant meal of the trip at the local Applebee's and we are ready for a good night's sleep. So far tonight it looks like we have a nice quiet spot.

Our schedule has been interrupted again this morning, call it technical difficulties, Heather explained exactly what happened in her blog above. My job was basically taking some photographs of ...
