Gail knew of a camping spot in El Paso, nooo Nellie not Texas, it is in Illinois. It was behind the local Super 8 Motel. The spot had 30 amp electric only so we were able to watch a little TV and had lights to see by. Total cost for the night was $15.00. We had driven 9 hours and only went 205 miles.

I sure hope accidents and cold are not a harbinger of things to come. All in all it was a good day. ...

... Park for a quick look. This was a wonderful place to begin our trip. Nature right in the heart of the city. I walked around the south pond, had some nice views of the city, enjoyed the view of the lake and a couple statues. Poked my head into the zoo and saw some zebras. What a great park.

The travel documents are organized and copied to Dropbox. I'll load them on my iPad as well as print them. I always organize my folder so each reservation is in order as to when I will need them. We're still waiting for confirmation from Northern Alaska Tours on the fly drive trip to Coldfoot. We want to make sure we get into the Arctic Circle.

I'm still not ruling out an overnight to Barrow. ...
