      ... down on the harbor by where the Coast Guard boats are stationed. Did some blogging there and then decided to go the the Trailside Cafe. Had another nice meal there. They have changed their hours and are not open in the evening so had to move on. So move on we did and headed to La Strada for a nice coffee and some more journaling. Robert did see some otters before heading back up to the car.

      ... area, right on the coast with greenery everywhere, massive houses and about 5 golf courses, the only thing better would have been a football pitch. But it was amazing, and it also had Pebble beach Golf Course there. We stopped there, and looked around the shops, and the posh hotel!       ... and the players that won, etc., etc. The employees here were all so friendly - many of them wore tam-o-shanters and looked the part of the golfing world! We stopped at a few stores before leaving. Kelly got a 1919 (the year Pebble Beach opened) Indian head nickel ball marker in an antique shop - I swear the guy working there looked exactly like William Hurt, but maybe I am too close to Hollywood and I have stars in my eyes.

      ... Bit different to the plush surroundings in San Francisco and indeed the charm of Yosemite but it was only for one night. It was funny that although the room was small with two double beds in, it still had a 42" TV on the wall. We left our cases, and took advantage of the free WI-fi to find somewhere to eat.       ... is only about a mile and a half from the mainland. We look out the window at a lovely view of San Francisco on our journey to the prison. Dylan and Emma go outside to take photos and we discuss where we are going. Dylan's conclusion after the explanation "we are going to the prison where they keep robbers who are not very kind as they steal other people's things, not like the Queen who is very kind so she gets to live in a castle", that'll do.
