Always great to have friends around the globe.

Yesterday we drove to the home of Arthur and Gail Fisher with Gerti, one of the earliest members in South Africa. She came in when Gerald Waterhouse was running the office in the early 1960's.

We had a pleasant afternoon discussion of events in the church over the last 5 decades. Interesting our GPS ...

We had an early schedule for day 3 as I woke up at 7:30 made it on time today for breakfast. Shortly thereafter, we prepared to go meet Daniel of U.S. Commercial Services. ... which you can't see very well, or more sedate volumes that are visible. Either way, it is obviously an impressive sight.

There are a number of optional activities in Victoria Falls (at extra charge) for those interested -- two helicopter rides, one about 15 minutes, the second slightly longer; an elephant ride; a sunset cruise in the late afternoon. We didn't do any of these, so I have no personal information on their value. Others in our group took ...

... anyone foreign or local to do this sort of a tour to get a little bit more of an insight as to how life in the township works and how it's related to city living. The length of the 4 hour tour was perfect, I always felt completely safe and in good hands, and the guides as well as being very informative were great fun to hang around with and share a laugh or two.
Once back in the city I went for a final drink with Russell and Terri at Joburgs longest running bar - the Radium, ...
