... lake is 40 miles by 20 . Biggish to be sure. They have ice races for cars in the winter (doh) on 4 feet of ice, described by the captain as "amusing". I do know that an Alfa GTV6 with 4 studded tires makes a very good ice racer... There's a good sized mountain outside of town that has ski runs. So the snowmobilers have some options. ... many mosquitos. that's the problem around here in the north woods, mosquitos. we are spoiled living in santa fe in that regard.

it was so good to see our friend julie, she is living in la now but was on the east coast for a wedding, so she drove up here to visit us and spent two nites. we both have been missing our friends so much so that helped some. .

... have to have a teeshirt that says Moosehead Lake maybe the only thing I see with Moose on it. Driving down roads covered with fog is a little dangerous but Steve is now obsessed with finding me Moose.

Maybe in the next couple of days we will see them and this will all go by the wayside.

Oh by the way we make the turn to head back west and to see friends and relatives along the way. We will get there sometime.

This was an eventful day. We needed to stop along the way for a camper repair. That always takes more time than needed. Of course a cmaping store is like the candy store so we needed to buy a couple of things.
