... to make sure we bought the right stuff before we leave wine area ;-) We have to give a shout out to the really lovely camp hosts that we have come across at the different campgrounds...John and Marjorie were so sweet at Bothe Napa Valley state park and Richard here at the Alexander Valley RV park is also totally sweet - all are so helpful and enjoy sharing stories with us and giving us some great tips on where to go next. Tonight we will decide our next location....stay tuned... ...

We couldn't help ourselves - we bought 6 delicious wines.

The gardens are really lovely here and maintained by our new friend 'Moon Glow' - a lovely American Indian of the Wintun tribe. Who was quite a character but very fun he suggested our next winery which was the Sterling Vineyard, formerly owned by an Englishman called Peter Newton, so off we headed.

... I was even going the right way. I saw that the road continued on for quite a ways, so it affirmed that I was on the right path, or at least I was until this little mishap. I tried to use whatever I could find to get some traction under the tire to try and get Adam out of this situation. Staying at a Winery

... Winery which is located in Hopland. We chose this winery because they are members of Harvest Hosts and so we decided to stay there for the night. Star was parked beside the grape vines, in amongst some incredible scenery. We found out that this winery is owned by Canadians who bought about 6 other wineries in the area. Greg and I sampled a few wines here and purchased a couple bottles of white wine.

... by public transportation. I was very glad that we did choose to have the rental car for the time period we did, it was well worth it, and gave us experiences that otherwise we may of not had.

The Italian people in general are very friendly and helpful. The language barrier was a problem at times. It would be advantageous to speak Italian. However, we seemed to of gotten by. After three weeks, you actually do pick up a lot of the language and are able to ...
