Very relaxing and intimate
The B&B was very clean and inviting when we first arrived. Justin the inn keeper was very nice and easy to talk to. He also provided us with a lot of information about the area as well. The view from the B&B was awesome. The room was nice and clean. The ambiance in the room provided a tranquil and relaxing feeling. The jacuzzi in the room was the best part. There's nothing like a long, hot relaxing bath to erase all the stress from everyday life. My husband and I went away to relax and catch up on some sleep and that is exactly what this B&B allowed us to do. The breakfast was excellent. I will certainly recommend this to all my "couple" friends as a romantic getaway. We will definitly be returning later this year!!
Loved The Log Cabin At Camp David
The log cabin at Camp David was absolutely beautiful. It is a quaint cabin with all the luxuries of a 5 star hotel. The fire place, the shower, the hot tub, scenic view on the back porch, were all just wonderful.
It was a very romantic place to spend celebrating our anniversary. I hope we can return soon!
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Lakeside B&B for a little Valentine's weekend getaway and it was absolutely perfect! The inn has almost a Mediterranean feel with picturesque little patios (all with great views of the pool or lake) and charming decor.
We stayed in the Medici Suite- very spacious bedroom with a large parlor area that led to the bathroom. Loved the "snuggle chair" in the parlor room- very comfy and it faced a large window with a great lake view.
Justin, the innkeeper, was fantastic! He was full of great information about the area and made the BEST breakfast. Delicious and freshly made scones and a full breakfast- what a perfect way to start our day!
We will definitely be back and will recommend to all of our family and friends. Thank you for a special and memorable weekend!!
Most memorable! A wonderful host, charming room, & breathtaking view
We had been on the road travelling South for several hours and were scheduled to check-in around 3:00 pm. We planned to back-track our steps to Austin for a concert. Austin proved very difficult to travel through and the weather wasn't favorable, so we decided to stay put in Austin and arrive to the Bed and Breakfast afterwards. The problem was, the concert started at 7:30 pm. By the time it ended, we would arrive at the B&B around midnight. With troubled heart, I called the B&B and talked to Justin. He was so kind... he thanked me for my call and offered to meet us when we arrived, to let us in. How gracious a guest is this? Otherwise, our excitement over seeing Steven Curtis Chapman would have been dashed, not to mention the expense lost in our purchased tickets.
Afterwards, we braved the weather and now, darkness and found our way to the Lakehouse B&B. We used Mapquest printouts and some additional directions provided by Justin sent via Email a few days prior to our departure. This was yet, another courtesy over and beyond my expectations.
We called Justin when we were a few hundred yards from the B&B and he met us there... carried our luggage, was so kind to insure our welcome. I might remind you, this is around 12:30 am.
We stayed in the Metropolitan Room. It was not only a wonderful and comfortable room, the view was breathtaking. The breakfasts were wonderful and the atmosphere, relaxing. My wife and I enjoyed walking the stone path and sipping our coffee together on a park bench at the lakes edge. This was our honeymoon and it was beautiful. We were tickled to see the deer walking throughout the neighborhood, like domestic pets. We stayed two days and wished for more. We plan to return.
To any reading this review, you'll love visiting the Lakehouse Bed and Breakfast. Check out the website, it's well designed and I'm sure you'll like what you see.
Justin, your Lakehouse and your kindness was such a blessing... yet you thank me? Thank you! We had a wonderful visit! Friend, God bless you and your beautiful home.

Peaceful, Quiet, & Comfortable
We only stayed one night, but it was very pleasant. The B&B is located on a quiet street and overlooks Canyon Lake. It has a European feel to it, which pleased my wife as she is from Europe. The rooms each have their own small refrigerator, TV, & DVD player. The TVs were small (looked like 19 inch screens) but we weren't there to watch television, so this wasn't really an issue. We reserved the Metropolitain Room which offered the best view of the lake and has its own second floor private balcony. We booked a weekend that was during the non-peak season and as it turned out, were the only guests that weekend. The owner was very hospitable and offered us the option to choose whatever room we wanted to stay in at no extra cost. Breakfast was very extremely pleasing to the eye and palate. If you are looking for a quiet, serene setting with romantic and comfortable accomodations, this is the place. The owner is very friendly, accomodating, and knowledgable about the surrounding communities and dining establishments in the area. Look forward to another visit.
The Perfect Getaway!
My husband and I went to Canyon Lake to celebrate our recent wedding anniversary. We found The Lakehouse at Canyon Lakes after reviewing different website. This trip was absolutely wonderful! The owner, Justin, was the perfect host. And, I must add, makes the best scones we've ever tasted! The lake views are amazing. We will definitely be making a trip back to The Lakehouse. You will love this place!

Loved the Lakehouse B&B
My husband and I stayed at Lakehouse B&B for one night as a last minute weekend getaway. We were there for such a short amount of time, but every minute of it was wonderful and relaxing. Justin, the owner, was such a great host. We didn't get a chance to use the pool or hot tub, but both looked very inviting. Our room, the Medici Suite, was perfect! Everything is decorated really nicely with a Mediterranean look - not too themey though. The bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was incredible! We can't wait to go back and stay longer. We would highly recommend this place to our closest friends and family.
Continental Breakfast at a hotel ain't got nothing on a breakfast from a Bed & Breakfast! :o)
Last week, I took a mini-vacation to San Antonio to spend time w/ my boyfriend. We decided to book a Friday night at the Lakehouse Bed & Breakfast at Canyon Lake. From the website and searches, it looked like a really romantic and gorgeous place to stay. When we got there Friday afternoon it looked better in person than in the pictures. The room was gorgeous and the lakeside view was amazing! Too bad we didn't get to take a dip.
The main reason for staying in a B/B is because it's more personal and the service is better. But for ME, the main reason is the full breakfast! Yum! After a long night of relaxing in the hot tub and falling asleep while watching SuperSize Me (yeah, we're an exciting couple!), it was nice to wake up to a wonderfully prepared breakfast.
The innkeeper was nice too. He was attentive and friendly... but we tried not to bother him and his family too much.
After weeks of postponing my trip to SA, it was nice to finally get everything in place and have a relaxing and much-needed weekend! If you're looking for a romantic place to get away for a night, this B/B is it!

Hidden jewel at Canyon Lake!
Seclusion, Luxury & Relaxation all in one. This is how to accurately describe my recent B-day weekend getaway. Justin, the innkeeper/owner, was a pleasant and gracious host. He even provided directions from the B&B to an area restaurant and winery that my fiancee wanted to surprise me with (helping him make his surprise romantic getaway come off without a hitch!). The three-course breakfast served to us on our private patio (Metropolitan Room) was amazing and delectable! We look forward to getting the word out and returning to this jewel of a B&B. You will not be disappointed...enjoy!
Fantastic B&B right on Canyon Lake. The owners are great people and the husband, Justin, does a fantastic breakfast in the mornings. If you are in the area, this place is a must stay. They have 3 bedrooms and all are very nice. If you have a choice, ask for the Le Metropolitan Room as it has its own private balcony where you dine in the mornings overlooking the lake. The B&B even has its own swimming pool and hot tub. I cannot recommend this place enough. While there, please say "hello" to Jack, Chaucer and of course, Ms Magic!

We had a drink and then headed back to the hotel - it was Shark Week on TV, so we watched Jaws II, went to bed, and had nightmares.
We have been on the road for the last three days and are in the home stretch of our one month journey. We spent the next four hours sitting in the waiting room while they fixed it, and came away over $400 poorer, most of which was labour costs.
