... the gays. Next door Asbury Park developed a reputation as a kind of gay center of central New Jersey. Gays love old Victorian houses that they can fix up and paint all kinds of matching and contrasting psychedelic colors (think of the so-called "painted ladies" of San Francisco) and there were lots of them in Ocean Grove. ... abroad in China where I received a Presidential Scholarship award of $1000 and won a travel grant of $500 to apply to my airfare. I am currently seeking out internships where I can start in the field of politics, human resources, or international work, fields which interest me greatly and those I plan to pursue as an adult.

I intend to continue this blog as a means of communicating my travels and will remain optimistic as I have always been.
