We started the day off with an espresso and a cannoli, not a bad start! Then we headed to Doge's palace for an amazing tour. We learned so much about Venice and its history. Our personal tour started with a look at the prison cells and we learned about the conditions. We also saw Cassanova's various cells and followed "his escape" out the prison. ...

... a big event for Italian families, and many of them had come to this island to enjoy it. Many of them come in their own speed boats, all of which seemed to have two women in bikinis, prominently posed on the front of the boat! Every outdoor cafe was full, but we managed to snag a highly desirable front row table, and proceeded to enjoy more spaghetti Vongole, Mussels in a red tomato sauce, a green salad and of course, the local wine. ...

... veal schnitzel with fries (and no sauce). Was it tasty? Reasonably. Was it worth the price I paid? Definitely not! I had twice as much food in Naples for half the price last night...
