... the island on our own. Just as the crowds began to really swell (cruise ships arriving) we were whisked off to the Island of Burano. Burano is essentially a fishing village made famous for the colourful houses (matching the fishing boats) and lace. We enjoyed an amazing multi-course lunch at a family restaurant: Raspo de Uvo (The Bunch of Grapes I think?), with wines and apperitiff! A little time to wander the island and walk if our lunch was very relaxing, back to Lido ...
... actually when you do see the picks and videos of the hotel there will be some chuckles.
So, for today, we are at our last new location. Relaxing, walking, eating, and drinking great wine.

... turning quite chilly and neither of us had much in the way of a coat with us decided to head back and go check into the new hotel. To get value for money, we took the train which was about a 10 minute ride. We actually managed to find the hotel in good time too!

Venice day 3 Bueno anniversario! Today was our 20th anniversary. We started the day with Nikki going for a jog in the neighborhood park down by the water front while Billy continued to sleep. Before going back to the apartment, Nikki stopped at the local bakery and fruit stand to purchase food for breakfast. The baker was polite, but the fruit stand owner was pretty protective of his goods. Customers are not allowed to touch the fruit. ...
... Jeremy said it reminded him of Monterey, California and we both agreed. There were so many bikes so it looked like people commuted from there into Venice. We had lunch (more pasta) and then headed back. We dropped JR back at the apartment to have a little rest and Loretta and I headed out for a mid afternoon aperitif; a Spritz.
