... 8211; and the views from the top were truly spectacular.  I also took the 3:00 pm narrated riverboat tour on the Tom Sawyer.  The river is still very narrow here and there are branches and sticks floating downstream.  I didn’t realize that the last dam on the Mississippi is north of Saint Louis – all free-flowing from here down.  Many bridges crossing over to Illinois – varying ages and types ...
