Wow! The day is finally here for the "Great Adventure" to begin!
While loading a few last minute items and food from the freezer, Daryl and Joyce R. and Ed and Betty C. came to bid us a fond farewell. ... for the night. An all-time favorite, we decided to go to the Broadway Oyster Bar for dinner, drinks and entertainment. The restaurant has mosaics made from oyster shells cemented to the walls and fun signs and antiques everywhere. The band that night was a funk band with acid jazz and soul influence. ... in front of the stadium...
After the tour, we checked into our hotel which was only a 10 minute walk from the hotel to the stadium...Great accommodations for not fighting the game day/night traffic..The girls took a quick swim and then we had a light late lunch at the Irish Pub within the hotel..It was to the game and joining in with a sellout crowd of 45,000 plus for the Thursday night game...Hot and humid evening, but we did have great seats just behind the Cardinals ...

... wobbler trying to send me round in circles (guess it got a little confused due to the cold weather?!) but fortunately I had remembered most of the initial part of the journey from the hours of studying of the roads etc. Once we left Chicago it was open road and we made some good time.
