Election Day
... voting location places a giant poster outside with the final vote tally. This allows the public to see just how many people voted for each political party. I have big plans to take a picture of this, because I’m really interested to see the turnout.

... an interesting night out with them where we were befriended by local girl who was just plain strange we couldnt figure out if she was on drugs or crazy b ut kept us entertained for a while. Also befriend an old american guy who has a house in guatamala so got some good info off him during our visit to monte alban some mayan ruins.
So sorry but no stories of police shake downs this time. Next stop is Puerto Escondido on the pacific coast...

Sometimes it takes a village
... to be distilling that day. A five minute drive into the countryside and I find myself a a small mom and pop operation where I am treated to a private tour of the process and samples of the fresh mezcal coming out of the distiller. Weekly Farmers Market in Etla
... green beans, broccolli, parsley, and the best purchase of the day was homemade Tamalles! Then sat a little juice bar with Ineke, Jan & Rick. We all had a fresh fruit and veggie smoothie. Some with cactus and other herbs. Was very refreshing.
Back to the house with all our fresh ingredients. Time for a Beer, I think!
We are definately beginning to feel comfortable and "At Home" ...
