... downside to our stay in La Serena was that I found 2 bites on my torso. I knew after looking at the sheets that they were bed bugs and I actually found the little fecker filled with my blood!!! I reported it to the receptionist who said “oh ****”... I kinda left it at that and did a good search of my bag and clothes as I was paranoid that they had gotton in. But I think all good as by bag was in the storage cupboard and not near the bed. ...

Our time in Chile was short and sweet. After our adventure in south west Bolivia, we headed to San Pedro de Atacama. Apart from the new stamps in our passports, we could tell we were in a new country instantly as the roads were smooth and sealed.
