    Today we had a lazy morning hanging out in the grounds of the BNB. We had a swim, the kids had a spa and Nick and I caught up on some reading. Oh and it was my birthday! I got coffee and toast in bed! And some gorgeous home made cards from the kids. After a slow start we took some rickety old bikes into town.     ... is one lane for both directions. However it's so quiet you can hear the cars coming and there's time to step off the road. I had wondered what would have happen if I met the evening bus as I passed the section where the stinging nettles line both sides of the road. It's a steep 5 km round trip to the Pieve Antica, a 12th century church. Roffeno is the same distance but a flatter walk along the road. I thought there might be a cute bar for a late afternoon aperitif ...
