... vinegars, ranging from barely aged to aged over 25 years. The vinegar aged only a few years was very acidic and slightly sweet, with a thin consistency, while the vinegar aged over 25 years was a thick, sweet syrup. We were treated to lunch with a meal that obviously focused on using the different vinegars. We started with a delicious parmigiano reggiano flan drizzled with vinegar, and ended with a Napoleon drizzled with the longest-aged vinegar. There was plenty of Lambrusco ...

... five days a week. Saw upholstery being assembled and the choices new owners can make to personalise their car. Finally, taken to Ferrari store and made small purchase, no not a new 458 Italian, .... A mug!!! Maranello is like a shrine to the Ferrari. Flags everywhere. People taking pictures and pipping their horns, allowing us to go in front of them on roundabouts! Now we have to hoof it to Lake Como as 4.30pm and have 165 miles to cover. Temp 21 degrees but cloudy. Rain on ...

... The town is so pretty with beautiful buildings and so clean. Made it back to hotel for 12 noon departure to Maranello. Drove through Gotthard Pass which took us above the clouds. Stu always wanted to drive this. Lots of hairpin bends. Scary for passenger! Very beautiful until fog descended. 272 miles later at 5.15pm we arrive at Locanda del Mulino, our hotel. Pleasantly surprised as looks well ...
