    ... ringing for and evening mass. We decided to get some dinner and then head back to the condo. We found a local Imbiss and ordered a mushroom schnitzel, salad and French fries for Sheree and a pizza for Ted. Good meals for an Imbiss (an Imbiss is a small sort of fast food place – but usually locally owned rather than a chain).

    ... the roads they needed to control all met in Bastogne. They were trying to get to the port of Antwerp to disrupt the Allied supply line. Back to Bastogne. From December 20-27, the Germans attacked the town. The Allies held. When the Germans thought they had them in a position of surrender, a German soldier was dispatched to request the Allied surrender. American General Anthony McAuliffe simply said "Nuts!"     ... risk it. Thus she got my yummy soup and i got her ceaser salad.

    After lunch we went and drank some more beer. Next was another dark beer, this also came with cheese flavored by feeding the cows the discarded wheat, malt and hops. It was great.

    The next beer we got was a blond. This was nice but not as flavorsome as dark beers.

    Once we had this beer we were basically ready to head back.

    Left for belgium this morning. Just entered the french speaking country and I read about some caves in liege, belgium that I will try to find.
