    After climbing for 6km out of the crater in which Spa sits, it was time to make our way towards Gouvy.

    Our first experience of Belgium had been a bit of a shock to the system. However, our journey to Gouvy was one of the most beautiful rides anyone could wish to cycle. In the anticipation of hills, we gave ourselves a shorter day- and we were very grateful for it.

    Drove over the border into Belgium to a little place called Hony. It is a tiny little village, well group of streets and houses really. The campsite is on a river surrounded by farms.     ... the bus. A couple from Sydney arrived at the bus stop not long after I did. When the bus didn't come by 5pm (it was normally only a couple of minutes late) Mariana decided to see of the police manning the barricades could translate the note de service.
