... the heavy snow
and extremely cold winter this part of the world had this year and as the train
climbs ever higher there are still many small traces of packed snow. Apart from
this snow this area of Canada that we are travelling through is also extremely
flooded and at times I was amazed that it was even possible to build a railway
through such flooded areas. For many hundreds of miles it was like we were
travelling through a flooded lake area.

... there was a huge Argentinian contingency in town, which subsequently erupted upon the Argentinian victory.

Montreal is full of festivals in the summer to the point where they closed down one of the biggest roads in town just so a few kids could learn how to tightrope walk and play on circus equipment! what an amazing city! There was also a bunch of live acrobatics shows, music and dance in addition to circus acts. ...

... 11th floor for
an amazing view of Old Town from our room.

A quick rinse to rid ourselves of the
twilight zone and we were soon meandering through the cobbled streets soaking
up the atmosphere of what appeared to be an old European city, (well everyone
spoke French and the buildings were old, you get the idea). There was even a Notre Dame, I’ve seen a few
of these now in different countries, not quite to the ...
