Well this day started out fantastic. Sat my alarm last night in the hotel (on my phone) for 5:45 so that I could be calling the bellman at 6:00 who would call the cab. Sounds like a good plan. I woke up at 5:57 am and looked at my alarm, which was sitting beside me silently, and noted that it said PM. GREAT! Got dressed and downstairs in 14 minutes. We decided to do a walk to a place called Bright Angel point which was only 3 miles but it meant we got to see a good amount of ...

... all 9 of the worlds biggest and scariest rides. I particularly remember the second one the Goliath. It has the biggest drop of ~245ft of any roller coaster. And my oh my do you feel that drop....every last foot of it! Our next roller coaster was the Colossus which was built in the 1950's and just for fun they are running it in reverse.... Well this rickety clickety gear changing monstrosity was terrifying....and not in the way a roller coaster should be....The ...

... 800 flights each day in & out of Sydney Airport.

Whole industries have grown up to serve these road warriors. Airport hotels, car rental, road-side food chains, fuel stations, taxis, air-trains, luggage shops, phone charging spots and wifi centers.

Airlines hub through main centers to deal with the huge number of possible combinations of start and end trips. This often leads to peculiar transits, where the hub seems way out of the ...
