Our plan was to train early in the day to Corrigliia, about 12 minutes away, and then walk to Vernazza before it got too hot, and then for David to keep walking to Monterosso on the hardest and steepest part of the walk.

Because we got to the station early, we got an earlier train, but this passed all our stops and we landed in the last village where the walk is closed. We had coffee and breakfast and waited for an hour for the train back to Corrigliia. We were told ...

However little pocketed alleyways had restaurants with candlelit tables filled with hungry Italians and tourists alike.
