... We were starting to stress a bit too, on the booking reservation it was made very clear that unless you could check in before 8pm, do not book. It was nearing on 7.40pm by the time we got into town and we powered up and down the hill looking for our hostel. Despite it being very poorly marked we found it soon enough. The “hostel” wasn’t really much of a hostel, more like a couple of rooms in an apartment sectioned off and a heap of beds thrown in them. ...

... terraced vineyards surrounding the area. The town itself was quaint, but I am not sure it was worth the hike up. I decided to take the stairs down - all 377.

Manerola brought me back down by the sea. I hiked up first, for a view of the town from above. We told ourselves that we had to the chance to walk on top of the cliffs of Italy all by ourselves. Won't probably get to do that again.

We left Fiesole for the Liguria region-
Mick collected the car that we had parked in the free zone...only to find a parking ticket on the windscreen...WTF?. so, whilst the 3 headed off to the Posta (yep- the post office), I had the honours of trying to work out why we got a ticket..(even the hotelier at our villa said it was free again). So, into the local police station I went...the sergeant (he had 3 stripes?) spoke no English and after ...

Day 4 - Part 3

Going from Sestri Levante to Suvero where we would stay at the Cuccaro Club Hotel gave us the first taste of winter since spring was over. We went into into a mountain landscape where water flowed by edges of the road and even though the temperature was around 10 degrees Celsius it seemed that remnants of ice still lingered on the pavement. We later found ...
